The short version: your data stays on your phone. KuryenteMoo is an offline-first app — we do not operate servers that receive, store, or process your personal information. There is no account and no sign-up.
KuryenteMoo ("the app") is developed by Krafftd ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles and what happens to it.
When you use KuryenteMoo, the following information is saved only on your device, in the app's private storage:
We never see any of this. There is no transmission of your readings, photos, or bill information to us or to anyone else by default.
The app requests camera permission to photograph your electric meter. Photos you attach to readings as proof are stored only on your device, and you can delete any reading's photo at any time by deleting the reading. You can use the app fully without camera access by entering readings manually.
Meter scanning (Pro feature, consent required). When you scan your meter, the app uploads the cropped photo of the meter display only to our scanning service, where OpenAI's vision model reads the digits. Before your first scan, the app explains this and asks for your consent — no photo is ever uploaded until you agree, and scanning simply doesn't happen without it. The photo is used solely to read the digits and is not used to identify you; the app sends no names, locations, meter numbers, or other data with it. Manual entry is always available, works offline, and sends nothing anywhere.
Reading reminders and usage alerts are local notifications scheduled on your device. They do not involve any external service.
Data leaves your device only when you choose to send it — for example, using Export CSV to share your reading history through an app you select (email, messaging, cloud drive). Where you send it and who can see it there is under your control and governed by that service's own privacy policy.
The app currently contains no analytics trackers and no advertising. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and the app's store listing before the change takes effect.
This section applies once paid subscriptions become available.
Pro subscriptions are billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store — we never see or store your payment card details. To manage subscription status, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription-management service that processes: a randomly generated app user identifier, your purchase history for this app, and basic device information (such as device model and OS version). RevenueCat does not receive your meter readings, photos, or any other app content. RevenueCat's own privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
This section applies once the AI Analysis feature is enabled in the app.
AI Analysis is an optional Pro feature that is off until you explicitly turn it on. When enabled, the app periodically sends a summary of your consumption numbers — daily kWh values, averages, projections, budget status, and appliance impact statistics — to our analysis service, which forwards them to OpenAI to generate a written analysis. No photos, notes, meter numbers, names, or device identifiers are included. The response is stored only on your device. You can turn AI Analysis off at any time, after which nothing further is sent. OpenAI's API data-usage policy applies to the processing of these requests (openai.com/policies/api-data-usage-policies).
Because everything is stored locally, you are in full control. Deleting a reading removes it and its photo. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all app data from your device. We cannot recover it for you afterwards — consider exporting a CSV backup first if you want to keep your history.
KuryenteMoo is a household utility tool intended for general audiences. It is not directed at children, and it collects no personal information from anyone — children included.
